Cebu East brings dental care to Oslob!
On the weekend of November 23-24, 2019, the Rotary Club of Cebu East conducted an overnight dental mission in Oslob, over 4 hours from Cebu City. As always, we partnered with Southwestern University’s School of Dentistry. We also received support from the Rotary Club of Campbelltown, Australia.
The leaders of the mission included Dr. Wilbert Uykingtian from RC Cebu East, Dr. Ann Perolino from Southwestern, RC Cebu East President Joop van Kessel, his wife Racquel, and RC Cebu East Secretary Heinz Ackermann. We were assisted by Barangay Captain Lindo Maximo Nazareno from Oslob.
Our Rotaractors did a splendid job of performing dental work on 222 patients, with such procedures as:
- Dental consultation
- Dental cleaning
- Oral prophylaxis
- Dental Fillings
- Tooth extractions
We were also graced with the presence of Mr. Kevin Parken, from the Rotary Club of Campbelltown. Special thanks to Kevin and his Club for their generous assistance!
During the weekend, RC Cebu East also inducted its newest member, Conrado Castro. Welcome to the Club, Conrado!
