Shipment of Medical and Educational Supplies from RC Campbelltown, Australia

The Rotary Club of Cebu East handled the receiving of a shipment of medical and educational supplies from RC Campbelltown, Australia on July 26, 2017. The shipment contained over one million US dollars’ worth of equipment, including hospital beds and mattresses, endoscope towers, IV stands, wheelchairs, boxes of syringes, sewing machines, and boxes of books.

RC Cebu East handled all aspects pertaining to getting the shipment through customs, as well as transportation and warehousing. Another recipient of many of the goods was the Rotary Club of Siquijor. The shipment was hence both an international joint project and a domestic joint project!

 

Our thanks goes out to the Rotary Club of Campbelltown for their generosity. The supplies have been donated to various hospitals, barangays, and schools, with the sewing machines going to people with disabilities.
